In connection with coastal fishing trips, there are also courses, or merely guided trips, along the coast, for example:

Collecting edible plants suited for fish dishes.
Preparing your catch, or local fresh fish, using wild plants.
Food on the campfire, smoking, plank grilling or preparing in the kitchen.
Familiarize yourself with the rocks on the beach along the coast. This is a good activity if you are fishing from the coast or for those in the family who are not fishing.
Familiarize yourself with the wild flowers along the coast.
